Pablo Picasso once famously noted that "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." LAgom Like Minds, founded in 2017 by Joss.TM and Irie Rose, is a community for the artist that lives in all of us-- no matter how old we get.
Our mission is to provide artists and art lovers across the greater Los Angeles area with a one of a kind, after-hours, collaborative experience. Diverse and dynamic, our art shows also offer up-and-coming artists the opportunity to get publicity and practice on stage in front of a live audience. LAgom Like Minds lets artists of all skill levels fine-tune their craft in a relaxed and supportive environment.
More than anything, LAgom Like Minds is an "art party" that breaks away from the conventional atmosphere of traditional art shows.
What makes us different and unique is that, although artists do sell their work directly to our guests, we don't just cater to those who can afford expensive pieces. Our goal is to make the art at our shows consumable and accessible to the average person.
We feature comedians, singers, musicians, dancers, painters, tattoo artists, photographers, sculpture artists, rappers, fashion designers, culinary artists, street artists, and jewelers. Any and all art forms are welcome and celebrated. Our community cultivates a safe and encouraging haven for like-minded creatives to showcase their talent and network with others.
Shows are held four to five times a year and are open to the public. In addition to art events, LAgom Like Minds also hosts Headshot Parties and provides video/photography services to our members. Click here to watch some of our most recent music videos and interviews for artists such as Anna Katori, Honor Flow Productions, Tori White, and Cliff Holt.
If you would like to apply for a performance slot, submit your art for display, or discuss our videography/photography packages, please contact us at LagomLikeMinds@gmail.com
